Be prepared for desert camping: hot days and cold nights. Good food, water and toilet facilities will be provided. We are asking a small donation of $10 a day (How ever many days you can stay) to cover our logistical expenses. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Even if you can not come for our events, please make a donation to support the event and sponsor a low-income activist / participant

  • Clothing for hot days and cold nights
  • Check local weather conditions 7 day forecast here
  • Personal supply of drinking water (one gallon per day) and a water bottle
  • Bring camping gear: Tent, Sleeping Bag, Ground Pad (very important)
  • Appropriate footwear, there are lots of rocks
  • Sunscreen, Sunglasses, and a hat it's bright out there
  • Plate or Bowl, Spoon, Knife, Fork, Cup (very important)
  • Bring snacks, drinks, and fresh foods that fulfill any special dietary needs
  • Bring food to donate to the community (hungry people are grumpy)
  • A good flashlight
  • If you have one, bring a lantern
  • Sturdy chair, preferably folding (bring an extra for an Elder)
  • Bring your toothbrush and nontoxic toothpaste
  • Lots of Socks (extras for the walkers who've worn theirs out)
  • Bring your own toilet paper
  • All batteries to operate your equipment, plus your own power source for recharging
  • Have self-sufficient arrangements for transportation, limited shuttles will be provided from Las Vegas to Peace Camp Musical instruments
  • Art supplies
  • Banners
  • Signs
  • Lots of decorations for the gate to the camp, and fence along road
  • Bring information and materials from your group, with a table to leave them at
  • If you want to sell items, consider a donation to help with camp costs

There will be a great kitchen, lots of food, local potable drinking water, toilets and ample shade. If you have extra room in your ride, bring some extra stuff. Look at our Wish List (think of it as a treasure hunt)
