Nevada Desert Experience Presents
The 2007 Sacred Peace Walk
Rally & Action at the Nevada Test Site

The pilgrimage will begin March 27th in Las Vegas and end April 1st at the Nevada Test Site. We walk in the footsteps of a long legacy of peace walkers and spiritual leaders to draw attention to the nuclear dangers that continue to threaten our sacred planet and the community of life. Please join us in transforming fears into compassion and apathy into action.

April 1, 2007

6:00 AM ~ Corbin Harney will lead the Sunrise Ceremony at the Walkers Camp (about 3 miles south of the Nevada Test Site). ALL are welcome to attend. After the ceremony, the walkers will finish the last 3 miles of the walk to the Test Site.

10:00 AM ~ Corbin will open the Rally with the Western Shoshone Welcome and Blessing. Other Shoshone speakers: Johnny Bob, Carrie Dann, and Tom Wassen.

There will also be ceremonies with:
Rev. Alan Senauke, Zen priest, Buddhist Peace Fellowship
Anne Key, priestess, Goddess Temple
Brian Kimmel, Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing
Fr. Mark Serna, Benedictine priest

Col. Ann Wright, Vets for Peace
Louiena Miles, Complex 2030
Neal Christie, State of 2030 legislative action

There will be interludes of Music and Poetry.

12:30 PM ~ Corbin Harney and Leaders of the Western Shoshone National Council, representing First Nation Peoples evicted from this Sacred Land, will lead the Memorial Procession to the gates of the Test Site.
