Rally Set at Millstone Plant
WATERFORD -- A group of concerned citizens will rally outside the Millstone nuclear power plant Wednesday. The Connecticut Coalition Against Millstone wants to call attention to the plant's security system. Members say the system is vulnerable to terrorists because it is routinely disabled during windy weather conditions. Today's rally coincides with a pair of public meetings to discuss Millstone's safety review. At three o'clock -- the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will meet with representatives of Dominion -- the company in charge of Millstone. And at six o'clock -- the NRC will be meeting with the state leaders. Both meetings will focus on the plant's safety.
